Forest City Yacht Club Princess Pat Race

After sending wind at each end of the dial the past couple years, the Anemoi owe us. We expect a perfect spinnaker run from the Cleveland water intake crib to the breakwall East Light for the Princess Pat Trophy Race this year.

Come on Saturday morning, July 16th to this popular race. A large fleet assures you racing in a class closely matching your boat’s handicap, providing on-the-water performance feedback during the entire race. The Trophy Race qualifies for the Boat of the Year (BOTY) and the South Shore series of the Cleveland Sailing Association. Your BOTY registration saves you $10.00 off the entry fee.

Start the day with free donuts and coffee for you and your crew. Famous grilled FCYC sliders await across the finish line for lunch.

A class place flag is yours to pursue. Pewter is in the offing this year for the overall PHRF and JAM fleet winners. Annapolis Performance Sailing is helping us bring back the Oh-So-Close awards with gift certificates.

To accommodate growing interest in the Princess Pat Women’s Race, we are offering both spinnaker and JAM starts on Friday evening, July 15th. There will be a BBQ dinner before and following the race; and place flags awarded after the race. This race qualifies for CSA’s Women’s series.

See how well you really sail by entering the Princess Pat Double-Handed JAM Race starting just before the Women’s Race on Friday evening, July 15th. This race qualifies for CSA’s Double-Handed series.

Free docking for your boat and ample free parking for your crew and guests are available at the club during both days of the race. You can arrange free overnight dockage a few days before and after the race by calling Forest City Yacht Club at 216.361.9857.
